Comment Not support on laptops? (Score 1) 145
I've just returned this after a week of trying to get it working properly. My PC is over spec for the game's requirements but their tech support came back with the excuse "...you are playing on a laptop computer. We do not consider such type of computer suitable for gaming even if they might fulfil the requirements for the game".
A list of all the problems I had:
1. While installing the patches I had to download I got a message telling me my files were corrupted. I had to click on "Repair" to get round this.
2. The game refused to run, displaying the error "Tabula Rasa could not toggle to fullscreen mode.
Please set your video options to a valid display mode". I eventually found a fix for this here:

3. There was no information about creating an account in the game.
4. It crashed my PC (Blue Screen Of Death) after I created my character.
5. It crashed every time I blow up the ship and try and shoot an alien (the second task in Boot Camp). When I restart I have to blow up the ship again even though it isn't drawn on the display.
As a Software Engineer (but not for games, I admit) I was surprised they released what appeared to be Beta-quality software. Is this another case of forcing a release in time for the Christmas market?
