Every time Zuck testifies before Congress he has practically begged for regulation. This is all a giant clown show. The left wants to beat down big tech publicly so they keep on censoring their enemies and competitors (legacy vs. new media). They (left) don't want regulation at the moment, because things are going their way. Facebook desperately wants regulation to offload responsibility for censorship to preserve their business. The right hates Facebook because they are disproportionately the target of censorship (qualitatively if not provably quantitatively), but many don't hate Facebook enough to close their accounts.
