Otter's Journal: A beautiful summer day!

It's been a nice summer so far, once it finally started -- not too hot, a lot of warm, clear days. Today is terrific, and I really should make sure to enjoy it.

Sympathies to the Texans, though.

Ya, its sucks down here in texas. The DFW area has had rain since Friday with no signs of it letting up.

i miss it anyway. The rain is great for all those gorgeous wildflowers...

And i'm in boston, where it's been nice, but still cold enough at night to require blankets. You hear me, otter??? BLANKETS!!! If you're sleeping under blankets, HOW is that "summer"???

It beats the 30 straight days over 100 degrees come august!

Even in the summer I still sleep under a blanket, you just have to turn the AC WAYYYY down! Screw the electric bill!

Combination of AC and ceiling fan works pretty well. Though it's not August that bugs me as much as the fact that it stays hot well into October.

As of the forecast this morning, it's supposed to rain through the weekend in the DFW area, making the fireworks displays somewhat problematic. On the other hand, it's markedly cooler than usual (only a high of 79 predicted for today).
