As much as I disagree, every one of those choices was done deliberately. 256GB is fine for the average consumer who uses the computer mainly for web browsing and light office work. You and I are not the target demographic. You can delete the stocks app etc.

I’ve driven a few GM rentals in recent years, and I’d almost certainly never buy one of their cars. Not just because of the design, but they are digging in on blocking CarPlay on their cars so they can sell subscriptions, and they ratted out their own customers to insurance companies.

If they changed course now, it will still be a long time before I trust them again.

What a dumb article. Quality goes up and down every year, but Apple is not making "slop." That's just a clickbait headline.

Apple sells luxury products. Who cares if the polishing cloth is $19? Wait till you see how much Porsche charges.

False. Tesla was asked to upgrade their chargers to allow non Tesla cars to charge there and they declined. So there was a new bidding process and Tesla lost the bid in 2022. Teslas chargers are not universal, I just passed them today. Hyundai couldnâ(TM)t use them until March of this year, and even then they still require an adaptor. Theyâ(TM)re being replaced by universal chargers that work with all models and take credit cards, and even have higher charge speeds.

A New Yorker reporter was recently deported for reporting on the Columbia student protests. This unfriendly climate will kill tourism in America. Then it will have a ripple effect as future presidents and prime ministers go elsewhere to study, killing America's soft power among elites of other countries. And for what? It's not like legal student visa holders were causing a crime wave.

And yet the way he went about doing it is idiotic. Canada passed laws allowing cashiers to round to the nearest 5 cents. Trump didn't do that, instead he just stopped production, meaning you will have customers screaming at cashiers for their money and claiming theyre being robbed. (Any cashier will tell you they meet these people.) And he did it without Congress, meaning it can be reversed by the next president.

Putting data standards aside, USB-C is pretty good at charging. I'm not familiar with these edge cases the author describes where charging doesn't always work with thunderbolt cables (which are a minority of cables sold).

This is not really a "battle of the plugs" like the author claims. We all use USB-C for charging and data and it's generally reverse compatible.
