Back in the day, we had ordered a new server to use as an Essbase server. The machine was a 4 processor Pentium Pro compaq proliant.
It had a nice caching controller and scsi disk array.
Well it just so happen to arrive via UPS the day we were having an all office ice cream party. Office was like 1000 employees. So the ice cream came on the truck in frozen form.
The UPS go proceeded to throw the ice cream containers out of the truck. Well as you can guess he chooses to do this for all the boxes in his truck that are for our location.
Out goes the compaq proliant and the disk array onto asphalt.
An incredibly smart doc worker signs for the merchandise and takes deliver and wheels what's left of the server back to development.
He tells us he did think it was kinda funny that parts of plastic had busted threw the corners of the box.
