It seems to me that we won't really see anything tangible coming out of this research until t+5 years, with t being the date that the military figures out how to use it. My guess is that the first application of all the nanotube technology will be in the high tensile substrates used in airplane wings and other military applications where strength and weight are critical. Changing topic, does anyone know if there is has been any progress on a way to mass produce the material yet?
