Facebook Wins $873 Million Lawsuit Against Spammer 128

damn_registrars writes "A US District judge has awarded $873 million dollars to Facebook in a default judgment against a spammer who sent messages to Facebook users about drugs and sex. This is the highest award so far in a civil suit under the CAN-SPAM Act."

So now the service is looking to restore its advantage on the virtual battlefield by doing nothing less than the rewriting the 'laws of cyberspace.'" I'm sure that'll work out really well for them.

Then for shear comedic value I would have appreciated 'Estrogen' as one of the options despite its non-noblegassyness. I suppose that would only be funny to those who've seen the Johns live...
