So I don't really see why this is even news. Is it news? Free radio?

I love Sirius and their $12.95/mo fee is totally reasonable for a gah-zillion commercial-free (and Clear Channel-free) channels.

And wasn't there another SlashDot article about XM raising their monthly fees and including streaming audio much like Sirius?

Good evening. It's 6:34 in the evening, and I'm sitting in Starbucks in Orange County next to an asian guy who's typing and talking to himself. Well, who doesn't? I'm skipping my writing class tonight because I was terribly depressed this morning --terribly, terribly depressed-- and the idea of working on a skill that I won't use in the afterlife was just pointless. Of course, that's silly. The end result is that I'm stuck in Orange County at 6:30 in a Starbucks until the traffic dies down. Los Angeles sucks. People are flakey (and I'm becoming that way), the city is a sprawling habitrail, the weather isn't ALL that terrific, and many people (present friends excluded) are shallow and irritating. On the plus side, the friends that I have here are better than any other place in the world. And the economy doesn't blow. But things are just so grim, grim, grim here. It's all so discouraging. I thought I'd have all this free time when I quit my job, but I've just been stressed out and doing stuff that d
