This effect more than just PC's (Score 1)

As an owner of an HDTV that the MPAA is trying to make obsolete I am outraged. Remember this legislation effects consumer electronics as well. They are trying to implement DVI w/ HDCP encryption to new HDTV sets. They have already got the Sattelite and Cable companies to go along. They are even lobbying for encryption of over-the-air broadcasts! As of now there have been about 2.5million HDTV/HDTV ready sets that will be obsolete come fall. Current HDTVs will be able to recieve the encrypted content with a converter box but that box will downgrade the quality to normal TV. I have three words to say, "Class Action Lawsuite."
