You don't really wanna know. I'm older than dirt and have been an IT professional for > 30 years. Been there, done that. I like modern technology; but I have some bad news for most of the youngsters out there: it's (usually) been done before, just under a different name.
I speak all the old stuff (COBOL, PL/1, Fortran), the newer stuff (C, C++, Java, Python, Ruby) and the stuff in-between. Even a few assemblers.
I'm still working as a Software Engineer. Gawd, I love this field! I hope I never have to retire. My wife, my kids, and my dogs are all happier when I'm challenged.
My passion is flight: I have a private (now VFR only) pilot's license, and I have worked for airlines in the past (on the ground). Hmmm .. computers & airlines. Oh well, somebody beat me to the idea about 50 years ago :)
