That is completely misguided. You are only ineffective at doing good if you are ineffective at showing why your ideas are better. Clearly thats the case, and instead of trying harder you give up. Believing the options others put out is all that you have is exactly how things got and stay bad. Free people create naturally. The only impact you have by choosing something you don't fully agree with is negative reinforcement. Whether you want to be or not, you really are in control.

If you really believe that you have to choose between two evils, your completely misled. Any person with a truly free heart would not see it that way, they would decide what is right, find people who have the same ideas and let the evils know that they will be receive opposition as long they enforce their rule. Seriously man, you align with evil because you do not truly know good in your heart.

You forgot that having more money also means you use more health care... In addition to the fact that every point you make is an assumption and likely not true (ie. I'm willing to bet people who live in shitty ratholes use much more of the police's time and money than people who own 3 mansions), all of the items you mention can be "made equal" by a system that taxes based on consumption of those resources. You're also assuming all rich people do these things, which is also an assumption and not true, but fuck it, they have money, get the government to charge them out the asshole; call it their "fair share".

You say that they are slaves to corporations who are merely providing for their own self interest. You would prefer that the services provided by those corporations are instead provided by the government, who requires in exchange for taxes. At least they get to choose who they are slaves to, and if they should be slaves to them in the first place.

I know it's a novel concept, but some people do live for more than just money...

What do you live for? Whatever it is, I bet someone thinks it's stupid, and probably has a either a quirky one liner about it or possibly even some valid reasons. But really, who are they to tell or insinuate what you live for is somehow of a lesser quality of life. And who are you to tell someone there are better things to live for than money if that is their passion? And lastly, money sure does buy a lot of the things I live for, probably you too.
