Got that right. I've lost 3 cars (admittedly over 20 years) to deer vs my car. Deer were dead almost immediately (probably my lead foot). Two bounced off the corner of the car, crunching it in pretty well, and were deflected to the berm of the road. But one hit the middle of the front bumper, crumpled the middle of the hood, flew over the hood and impacted the top of the windshield and the roof. It broke a 18" hole in the windshield in front of my face. I am glad I wore nerd glasses then; after the accident I looked in the mirror and had shards of glass in my face. It looked like I had measles with the red blood spots. That would have been my in eyes without the glasses. That time I was on I-70 in western Pennsylvania - and my speed was about the same as the route number. If it had hit any lower, the deer would have gone through the windshield instead of over the car (whereupon it removed the luggage rack from the roof and spread my belongings across the road to be ground into the pavement by passing trucks. Deer is the deadliest animal in the USA (excluding homo sapiens, of course).

I remember my Radio Shack Color Computer 3 (running OS-9), with 128K (!!) of RAM, the expansion interface, HDD controller with 5MB hard drive, Floppy controller, and RS232 pack connected to a DT100 dumb terminal. And it actually would run programs on the TV screen and the terminal simultaneously. Talk about a stroll down memory lane... NetLarry

The Shah's agents were purportedly in Indiana at the time [early-mid 70s] (Purdue University) as well. The Iranian Students Association members wore masks during their protests in front of Hovde Hall to prevent the easy identification of the protesters for subsequent "punishment" of their family members back in Iran. There were people taking photographs of the protesters, and we did not believe they were all journalists. Fortunately the Purdue Police department was within view of the protest area and yelling was the most violence noted.

I did the 3-methyl-1-butanethiol trick >30 years ago at college. One drop discouraged even the most determined male dog trying to get in my house to "service" my in-heat female collie. There were a lot of clean & fluffy male dogs in the neighborhood after visiting my yard. My 5 ml bottle went a LONG way - lasted for years. Note: Don't keep the bottle in the house; once you open it the aroma will linger wherever you store it. NetLarry
