Additional documentation (Score 1)

The things I have found difficult to recreate when taking over an existing network are: passwords; especially for routers, firewalls, VPN's, websites, FTP accounts and such; hardware manuals for older servers and equipment, licensing information for absolutely everything (BSA may come a'knockin); hardware histories, warranty info and anything that isn't set up in a standard way. I have seen some networks where the previous consultant created some of the most convoluted, cockamamie scripts imaginable, yet they worked... now good documentation for those would have saved me more than a few headaches and sleepless nights.
