Even if a company bas a strong track record and good IP, that's not
a good predictor of future success, particularly if the people who were
responsible for making that studio so beloved in the first place don't stick around.

exactly this prime example: Hello Games or happy games or whatever they are called. the No Man's Sky studio.
well and Larian but they had a publicly stress free dev cycle.

all I've seen for the last 15 years is vileness and disrespect to any

it's even too useless for text. Having been around for the dotcom bubble and all the f angel investing, I've seen all these trends before with the amazing 2016 Microsoft chat bot and ignored all the AI craze to eventually give it a go with copilot and openai, to only realize it reads like almost all internet forums. might be useful for coding and extracting snippets but for now it's too politically correct and naive (tricking it into accepting ridiculous equations), and any story dialogue it will output, will lack any edge or flavor.

all these Starbucks "coders" can f right off. I don't see the engineers from Hello Games complain nor look for any major capital. We need more mechanics not salesmen. NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOU, you bring nothing to the bottom line except activism and poorly executed one at that.

I was a total nuclear energy proponent until I learned we only have fuel for about 75-150 years.
Which doesn't negate its very useful function, but still a bummer. But my base stance hasn't changed much: underlying nuclear with homes having solar feeding the grid when saturated; and maybe wind somewhere with some other novel energy source down the line.

I went slightly anti-nuclear with the assumption solar panels' raw material can be recycled easily?

And I'm saying this as someone who hates that store.
