I have, today, discovered that when the tongue is completely dried out, one cannot move it over to the side of the mouth and keep it their without constantly twitching the muscles to hold it there. Without this, it simply slithers back to the center position, a fact which, unfortunately, is not reported to the brain, because the tongue has great difficulty feeling anything when it is completely dried out! -20040614
