There's one potential reason that giants like Amazon might not have been sent the complaint - because Amazon's technology does not infringe the issued claims. For a product to infringe on a patent, the product must exhibit each and every claimed limitation. Check out this post for an idea. Legal counsel, of course, should be sought.
