For chromozone A lot of people have grown-up obsessively needing their parents - and they themselves pretty much never got over it. Now there are millions of people with a conformist and fear based identity. These people here have "indentified" with some form of patriarchy or imagined majority as a way to avoid seeing the ugliness in themselves. They have made patriotism and fearful intolerance the ground of who they are. The need to engage in psychotic struggles with safe targets to distract themslevs from seeing that they are failing as people. The dependance and insecurity many of them have acquired from their parents and/or other violators could not be effectively replaced or deal with so they snuggle up to other authority figures. Many people on the radical right hate their own counties principles of tolerance and democracy (what America Stands for) while being in sympathy with its autocratic enemies; they share the same seething nature. False virtue is a plauge of the modern age, and many dysfunctional people with seething natures use high and virtuous sounding themes behind which they hide their compulisvely destructive natures. These people don't care as much about the country as they profess. James Madison said "The means of defense against foreign danger historically have become the instruments of tyranny at home." These broken people are indentity compensation junkies, and behind the facade of a false love of country is a genuine misanthropy. The right has made a habit of promoting this sort of anger and projection crooning "there there. you are one of us, not them" and making these peoples fallen identities seem extra special and entitled to tear at the fabric of civilization to assuage their uncorrected insecurity. So some of the levee projects in New Orleans had been put off because of "economic" concerns. Now they want to rally around Bush who is a stand in for the father whose approval they pined for (The rational left is often projected upon as a threat to father figure autocrats who the currently childlike right seek to prop up with one zany emotional overture after another.) If you ever wondered why the protestors on the right tend to be flagwaving-psychotic and weak/mentally castrated it's because they usually had their identites broken by the alienation from a too weak/cruel father who forced them to give up their identities - who today is represented by the corporate state and a right leaning media that seeks to make any wrong a right and any moral a vice. We have these problems because this country has hardly any decent moral men or fathers anymore. So many guys sneak around looking for their own selfish interests, money etc. and their wives and communities hate their guts since ignorance is a mans main obstacle to being a moral human being (and truly being male) . The other extreme is the cruel men who presure everyone into conformity and we see their weak, kids psychotically protesting in the streets in virtual support of those in government who would kill them off - and they think they are heros because the media and Fox whack-jobs tell them they are. We are in serious poo now.
