Utopia is a situation where everyone has full freedom of choice and people don't die instantly upon contact with the atmosphere.

Gentoo is treating me great! The upgrade path is linear and uninterrupted, which was a major factor for me.

The available ebuilds include just about everything I've gone looking for.

The online community (http://forums.gentoo.org) is excellent.

Switched from RedHat 8.1 to Gentoo 1.4 about a month ago (ca. 14 Nov 2003). No regrets. This distro is great!
