Sure, lets ban sports cars while were at it. Their purpose is racing, doing that on the street is illegal. And save the environment while we're at it. No SUV/Truck for you unless you need it for your business of hauling things.

I'm a car owner myself and my Prius serves me just fine.

AR15 was designed to be modular so that it could be configured in many ways. Different calibers, lengths, and yes even purposes. Everything from a machinegun for the army to a bolt action target rifle has been created from this platform. Its the lego of firearms.

There are tons of other guns that take a detatchable magazine and have a pistol grip, hur de hur assalt weapons. Above is why this one is common and successful especially for hobbyists and sportsmen.

That's wishful thinking. Walmart is just virtue signaling because:

1. Most people buy their ammo online. Its about 1/2 the price of Walmart.
2. Prices aren't going up since #1
3. They got calls/messages from gun control warriors after originally issuing the stance that nothing would change. Since guns make up like .01% of their business they threw in the towel to get people off their back.

The main people this will affect are those in rural areas with no other nearby stores. Now they have to wait or drive out of their way. Alaska is the worst off because nobody will ship there cheap (which goes for anything) and their walmarts still sold handguns, rifles and ammo.

So what? The intended purpose of the internet was to provide communication to the military and maybe universities. Are we using it wrong now? Things evolve.

Who decides these things anyway. I design my own firearm for punching paper, is it still a killing machine? Hitachi made that wand for back massages.

The NRA is cooked in the firearms community. Many people now build their own and the industry is rather small compared to pretty much anything. Bloomberg already outspent the NRA by magnitudes in his epic crusade, which, btw is where your talking point comes from.

Look at this article even, Walmart sells 20% of ammo. Must be a huge industry! Except every walmart I've been to has a tiny stock of the most common calibers if anything. When they sold guns, they had like 10-15 models total.
