Comment Problem with Tiktok (Score 1) 86

There are two big problems with TikTok, but both of them stem from the fact that the platform is now owned by ByteDance. Chinese companies are required â" by law â" to share information with their government, and this is the cause of both concerns. It is unknown what project the object is tied to, though speculation has ranged from a new Boeing product to even the famed "TicTac" UFO sighted by Naval Aviators in recent years. The popularity of the app among American teens means that it potentially gives the Chinese government a bigger reach than ever before. TikTokâ(TM)s terms of service do, however, stipulate that the company may share information with its parent, subsidiary or other affiliate. Previous versions of TikTokâ(TM)s privacy policy warned users it could exchange information with its Chinese businesses, law enforcement agencies and public authorities, if legally required to do so. https://echat.date/ https://shagle.download/ Thanks

Comment Taskbar and File Explorer (Score 3, Interesting) 161

This has been bugging me for the past two weeks while using the new OS. On previous versions of Windows, you could hold Shift+click on a pinned taskbar icon and it could open a new instance of the app. In Windows 11, you now have to right-click the pinned item to open the context menu, then click on the name of the app to open a new instance. Very annoying that this was taken away, and now it requires more steps. On previous versions of Windows, in File Explorer, you could right click to open the context menu and see apps that had written shell registrations to the context menu. Now, you have to click "Show more options" on the context menu before you can see these apps. I wish there was a registry setting to always enable the "Show more options" because I have to get to this menu multiple times a day. https://omegle.ws/ Thanks

Journal Journal: Practicality of going 5G iPad-only, no iPhone?

Looking for people's experiences with going 5G iPad only, and especially any unexpected glitches.
Use case:
Rarely make a voice call these days, everything is video, but 5+ spam calls a day even with the filters.
Lately I carry an https://omegle-chat.com/ iPad for reading/surfing and sometimes an emergency remote desktop.
Bluetooth keyboard for when I have to type when traveling.
