Well, it may be suspended for now, but they will push it through eventually, somehow. What will then happen, is more and more people will start encrypting emails. So, lets guess what will come next.
My guess is that encryption will become illegal, unless you agree to have your secret key held in escrow, and availiable to any minister at any time.
Power to the people? Sure, as long as the people are government ministers. Otherwise... LOL!
