I just added someone to my foes list simply for being an ignorant jerk. They posted this comment in another user's journal about boxing in fast cars just to piss them off.
I happen to get paid to do support, often driving to a dozen locations in a day and those people lose me money. I've called the cops on them for holding up traffic and thoroughly enjoyed watching them get pulled over and having the rules of safe driving explained to them (speed isn't as important as safe flow).
I sure hope somebody gets this guy pulled over a few times as a result of his ignorance. That kind of "I'm so smart" attitude will get you hurt. And you'll have it coming; my family has an expression

I have never boxed in a car and then slowed down below the posted speed limit. Why would I do that? It does annoy me when people weave in and out of traffic at 10 or more miles per hour over the speed limit.

Are you saying you have to speed to get your job done? Your employer is forcing you to perform an illegal and unsafe act to do your job? No offense, but if I ever saw a company car driving unsafely I would certainly report them to the company (or the 800 number they usually have on their car). I seriously doubt any company would ask you to speed, since their insurance would suffer if you get in an accident. If they are overbooking you, that is their fault.

Not too suprisingly, I have only been pulled over once, for a broken taillight. Do you want to know what really interrupts traffic flow? Impatient drivers, who weave in and out of traffic like it is the Indy 500, causing other drivers to brake. Also drivers who insist on running lights cause traffic delays to people who are trying to drive through green lights. You know, the 5 cars that insist on going through an intersection after the arrow has turned yellow, forcing everyone to wait for them to get out of the intersection before they can go even though they have had a green light for several seconds.

Like I said, I have only been pulled over once, with only a warning, for a broken taillight. I do know plenty of people who have been pulled over for exceeding the speed limit and ticketed, so I am guessing that most police probably wouldn't agree with you here.

Just google for "domino pizza lawsuit speeding driver". Domino's Pizza learned the hard way that company policies that force people to speed to do their job ("under 30 minutes or its free") are costly.
They're also a hazard to your own long-term health due to the extra stress.
As has been pointed out, if you are over-booked, and speed as a result, both you and the company are on the hook for millions in any lawsuit for damages.

Also, I have a personal policy of going as fast as traffic and conditions allow. That often means 80km/h in a 60km/h zone.

You'd be considered a slow-poke on Quebec highways. 40 km/hr over the speed limit doesn't even get you a glance on the highway under most conditions.
However, 25 km/hr over the limit in urban areas will (sometimes) get you a ticket...

I would like to request that your obituary be mailed to me when you drive off a cliff because you haven't matured any since your sixteen candles birthday.
It would give me a good chuckle, and a nice warm feeling like fresh baked cookies.
I would also like to mooch at the buffet provided by your next of kin after the funeral, and perhaps attempt to nail any attractive family members you may have, as people are usually somewhat haggard and defenseless after a funeral.

For everyone else's sake, I've called *OPP (the direct line to the provincial police here) a number of times to report apparently drunk or idiotic drivers. I've reported and had pulled over slow and ignorant drivers. T

See studies on Michigan raising interstate speeds from 55 to 75 mph.
My driving record is almost perfectly clean too, and I speed everywhere. I've had two tickets for 15kmph over the limit each ($35 fine). My insurance premiums are great for someone as young as I am, but having over 10 years of clean driving is good.
