Journal Mierda del santo's Journal: Washington Post Enables Debunked Malpractice Lies
Philip K. Howard, "chairman of Common Good, a nonprofit legal reform coalition, and a partner with the law firm Covington & Burling LLP" gets a free pass from WaPo to lie about health reform.
Fortunately, the reality of malpractice reform has already been exposed by the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office and the Government Accountability Office as well as multiple independent studies contradicting the two studies repeatedly cited by health-care opponents:
When CBO applied the methods used in the study of Medicare patients hospitalized for two types of heart disease to a broader set of ailments, it found no evidence that restrictions on tort liability reduce medical spending. Moreover, using a different set of data, CBO found no statistically significant difference in per capita health care spending between states with and without limits on malpractice torts.
The politicians of the United States of America continue to lie, steal, and murder in the name of enormous military spending and increasingly amorally-obtained corporate profits. And, the useful idiots they call "voters" continues to enable them when all they have to do is exercise their right to vote in an educated and intelligent manner. How sad that "the greatest nation on Earth" is really nothing more than a seething mass of fools who can't even take their own self-interest to heart one day a year.
