You don't seem very bright, you appear to be replying to a *VERY* different post to the one I wrote. I did NOT say these were the only possible ways of doing something, I said I did use them, and in doing so I came to rely on them, then Google in their infinite wisdom decided to pull the rug, and it is for this very reason I'm cautious about becoming reliant on other Google products.

My main problem with this is it's a Google sub-project, and as much as I love their core products, they do have a habit of pulling things as soon as you become dependant on them (reader, AppInventor, and health for three examples I did depend on until they vanished). OK any company can pull a product, but it seems to be a favourite Google pass time.

so what should they have done? Just let those pieces of random garbage data take up space on the iPod for the rest of its life? Forced you to erase the whole thing just to get rid of them?

They should have gone with option 1, just left the non-working files on the device.

So they would have been sued for wasting space on iPods instead.

Why would they be sued for wasting space if they didn't waste the space? It was the user who put the files there, not them!

I'm actually amazed this terrible show is still going. The basic premise of the show is if two mediocre SFX guys and/or three (whatever they are, children's TV presenters, or something, not scientists anyway) can't do something quickly, easily, and above all cheaply, it's totally impossible! I've never seen so much bad science in one place (outside of a creationist museum, that is).
