If you can show that Satan or a Satanic list of commandments led to our current codex of law I say go for it. As Alinsky dedicated his Rules for Radicals to Satan I think there may be a precedent here for the modern set of laws being implemented. I would feel the same about Islamic tenants if building from Sharia etc. As it stands, with the NSA, ATF, Hate Crime, Thought Crime, Patriot Act, and more I think a Satanic monument probably should be in place more so than the 10 Commandments. You are what you eat.

I am ignorant of the case and its implications, but this is what I gleaned from a quick read at the links. 1. Swartz hacked into a system and stole its contents using the MIT network. 2. Boston legal found Swartz and prosecuted. 3. Swartz kills himself under the pressure. 4. MIT said that its hands were clean. Where is this talk of Democracy, NSA, and freedom coming from in this thread? I see property stolen. Unless Jstor is taking public domain and hiding it behind a paywall, where does anyone begin to think that work is theirs and not the originators/owners? Unless MIT gave consent for Swartz to use their network in this endeavor they had nothing to do with this theft beyond the ethical teachings on their campus. Again, I don't know the depths of this case or issue so maybe I am missing the obvious, but from a quick read this is not at all that amazing.

So you are comparing an operator position with a sweat-room telemarketing operation. You know the operation that no one wants to hear from? Tech does open new jobs, but not for artisan workers. It opens jobs that frankly are cheaper to be had over seas. I never had a problem with it because it also opened high tech jobs, but there is a large segment of the populous that are not capable of those positions. I am so I should be happy, but then I see the masses grow in their discontent. This is not in just one industry as it was in Banking during the 70's. The math is done, cheaper to buy and repair machine or to hire workers....machine wins almost every time. In the industrial age it was the machine, today it is the computer/robot. It is fairly simple if you look at it all without emotion for or against.

I believe this music has an intelligent designer. Such complex and wonderful music couldn't possibly have arisen by chance. It would be on the same order of magnitude as a tornado blowing through a junkyard assembling a tight little jazz quartet.

Actually this music did have a number of intelligent designers. The selection of what sounded good was done be men and women. Designing 'art' through random variation is not new at all.
