I highly recommend watching because it's in depth but also tackles general election security. I don't know that this can be applied to electronic voting though.

Above all, he wants to at least appear to be successful. This is just part of the charade. I don't know if it'll end well or badly so i'm not holding an opinion on this specific issue.

Why not use plex instead? That will transcode the audio to the chromecast.

I think that if you gave a couple of years between Compliant ID being available and being required, combined with outreach programs, you'd get past a lot of voter suppression accusations.

You'd also need to have voter stations set up according to population density, and make that publicly known. Phoenix is... not a great example of that. We seem to evenly space them out, which has the effect of plenty of voter stations per person in wealthier areas and not enough in dense areas.

Final step is that if you don't have your ID for voting then you get a provisional ballot. It'll still be counted, but only if it can make a difference, and only after verifying your voter registration. These days I think that's just your signature, name, and SSN.

But you've GOT to deal with the perception issue of voter suppression before you can do any of this in good faith..

When is the last time you bought a $500 or $1000 car? People are holding onto cars a lot longer now, so these types of cars are basically junk - or they'd keep it.

I had to specifically ask for HepC in my std screening. If you go into a Dr and just ask to get full std screening, they more than likely won't include HepC. I've had quite a few by this point in my life.. it wasn't in any of them unless asked. I realize that's slightly off topic since the OP was referring to blood donations but it really should be in std screening.

Maybe now they'll include hepc in standard testing. They haven't because there was nothing to be done about it

Yes I'm skeptical about the usefulness in this case. Voting would seem a more appropriate use of the tech.. votem is working on that though.

There's no reason you can't ammend data using block chain. It's just a untamperable database, which means that there will be a record with your birth name and parents, and later a record showing your surname change when you marry, as an example. Both are still there.

There are other systems besides proof of work (mining) which aren't so intensive. Proof of stake and proof of Authority don't require mining. I don't know enough about them to go over the pros and cons, but proof of stake is suitable for use on mobile phones. There are block chain voting initiatives using it.

I wonder if they are also doing this so the battery pack lasts longer. A larger pack has more miles worth of charge cycles, so if it's sold as a 60 but really is a 75 it'll be capable of the same total number of miles of use. I'd actually like that.
