Definitely hardly new (Score 1)

External batteries for laptop computers are nothing new - places like Lind have been selling them for years. Not only does the Electrofuel product look like it's nearly half the size of the laptop itself, their "SuperPolymer battery" appears to be the same lithium polymer material that's been powering my girlfriend's laptop for a year. Furthermore, it's not at all clear how their "proprietary control electronics that provide information to the user on remaining battery power and improve the efficiency of the battery" differs from standard SBS IC's that have been available for years. Looks like another "me-too" tech.
