As long as there is a culture of fear of being sued to the point of ridiculous, Doctors will continue to overprescribe anti-biotics, since to date I've not heard of anyone being sued due to overprescribing them, yet not taking an infection seriously enough could be enough to cost a doctor millions.

Then complain about the cutting of research funding. Sciences are getting a tiny fraction of the cuts we're getting.
