Comment Expansion Into Space (Score 2, Interesting) 460
Often I hear about how we need to expand into space and bring our environments along with us. I believe this is the wrong way to go. It would be much easier I believe to "Marsform" myself then to terraform Mars.
While this may seem far fetched and imaginative, it could prove to be simple. The biggest problems of unprotected humans living on Mars is the temperature and the atmosphere. It is quite cold, and there is very little oxygen. However, there is some oxygen. I think it would be easier to adapt ourselves to deal with the carbon dioxide and the cold then to adapt mars to deal with us.
I obviously do not have the technical expertise to tell you how it would be done, but I think it is an alternative we should look into.
