Well if that's the case then consider this: Since we have nuclear fusion occurring naturally in stars, the number of atoms in the universe is being reduced slowly. This in turn makes it hard to predict when the number of atoms present comes to a dangerously low level because it in turn affects the relative strength of the AES algorithm :-) Conclusion: depracate and devise a new algorithm while we still have time ;-)
