Comment Re:Way to compete with MS (Score 5, Interesting) 162

You're probably right. I worked for an outsourced company that did tech support for Yahoo - Merchant solutions (ecommerce) and Yahoo web hosting. The free sitebuilder program really sucked bad. It was written in Java, so I often had to deal with customers who just bought or built their own brand new, high-powered computer, only to have it drop to its knees after installing sitebuilder. It was extremely slow, and full of bugs. We regularly had extremely hostile customers call in and threaten us with everything under the sun. One customer even took down his own home page content and replaced it with a very ugly paragraph about how bad Yahoo is, in bolded, oversized text no less, and left it up there for several days. Another one called us incessantly for an entire day in a feeble attempt to tie up our phone system. Another customer threatened to find us (we weren't allowed to tell customers who we really were, nor what our true address was) and "take us out". I would look at a customer's home page that they just built using sitebuilder, then validate its html code, (http://validator.w3.org/), and it would literally have hundreds of errors in it. Just now, I validated www.yahoo.com, and the results are: 162 Errors, 33 warning(s) for "Errors found while checking this document as HTML 4.01 Strict!". Yahoo is a crappy tech company that doesn't eat their own dog food.

I read an article about Yahoo on their tenth anniversary. It bragged about how Yahoo's goal was to always remain profitable and that's why they were able to remain viable, while so many other internet companies went down. At first, I thought that was brilliant in a time when so many other companies were biting the dust because they wasted so much money. But then the reality of what their goals are really struck me - all they cared about was money, and not their customers who were paying them.

In the ecommerce dept, they bragged about having a $3 BILLION dollar annual revenue, but I regularly saw them screw their customers over big time. If a guys account/site couldn't be fixed at level 1 tech support, then they transferred the call up to tier II - standard procedure. But if tier II couldn't fix it, the ticket had to be escalated up to the engineering dept and woe unto them! It usually took 1 - 3 WEEKS to get it fixed!!! To the best of my knowledge, it is still that way. Even if the customers entire website was down, it didn't matter. I heard that they only had 2 or 3 engineers working there to fix thousands of escalated tickets. No wonder it took so long. The longer it took to fix, the more Yahoo would lose money because they made money by getting a percentage of the customer's sales, so if the customer's site was down, both of them lost money. On top of that, they would not even offer an apology, or reimburse the customer for their lost business. Some customers even went out of business because Yahoo took too long to fix a high priority issue. In contrast, one time I had my own site hosted by a local web hosting company selling some stuff, and I verified one morning that my site was down, and it wasn't my computer, internet connection, etc, so I sent in an email to tech support. In 2 minutes, I received an automated response acknowledging my issue and it informed me that some techs were working on the issue. In 15 minutes, I got another email from the techs themselves telling me more details about what went wrong and that they will have it fixed soon. In less than 3 hours, my site was back up and running! If a small web hosting company can do that, then a multi-billion dollar company can do that too, BUT THEY CHOSE NOT TO, so I don't feel sorry for Yahoo. They shot themselves in the foot.

Yahoo was only interested in grabbing more customers and not keeping the ones they had and they made some very stupid mistakes as a result. Like one time they had a web ad for their merchant solutions ecommerce, bragging about how good they were, but when you clicked on the link to see what customers had to say, instead it went to a page filled with 100% vehement hatred for Yahoo from customers who had been burned by them royally!!! ROFLMAO. My boss had to tell Yahoo what they had done, but it still took them several days to take the page down! Idiocy upon idiocy and incompetence upon incompetence. They are reaping what they have sown.

Burn Yahoo, Burn!

Former Yahoo tech

You just gotta have faith brotha...

Just kidding. :))

Matthew 22:29
Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

One reason you do not know the scriptures or the power of God is because nobody has taught you the integrity and accuracy of the word; who teaches us about the 9 manifestations of holy spirit and how to use them? What about the differences of body, soul, & spirit? Or the 7 biblical administrations, or how the word of God interprets itself, etc?

The other reason is that you are missing the key to understanding the bible: the gift of holy spirit.

I Corinthians 2:14
But the natural man(a man who is only body & soul: he is missing the key ingredient - holy spirit) receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Without the gift of holy spirit, it is IMPOSSIBLE to unlock the mysteries of the bible. So how do you get it? Very simple.

Romans 10:9,10
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

No man-made religion of confessing your sins needed here. Just do what God says.

So now then, how did we get this word of God?

Romans 16:25,26
Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

God taught Paul what to write by revelation, (which is one of the 9 manifestations of holy spirit I was telling you about). The gift of holy spirit is our connection to God. Without it, there is no connection, and thus no ability to fully understand the scriptures.

II Peter 1:20,21
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

In verse 20, the word "private" comes from the Greek word idios, which means "ones own". Thus the bible is not to be of one's own interpretation. So if no one is to interpret the bible, then what? There are only 2 logical alternatives: either there is no interpretation possible (which is crazy, since why would God give us a book that cannot be interpreted?) or it must interpret itself. That is exactly what it does - it interprets itself. Therefore, there must be some simple, logical keys that we can know and use so that the bible explains itself. There are many of them, but that is another teaching.

Verse 21 tells us that (the holy ghost = God) "moved" (inspired) holy men of God (in other words, only men with the gift of holy spirit) what to speak (they often had scribes write down what they said verbatim). The bible did not come to us from the will of man - he did not think up all this stuff. This agrees with the record in Romans 16, so no contradiction here.

Ephesians 3:1-3
For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,

If ye have heard of the dispensation(from Greek oikonomia = administration) of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:

How that by REVELATION he(God) made known unto me(Paul) the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,

Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ).

The great apostle Paul received the word of God by revelation(God revealing it to him). He did not think it up himself, but God revealed knowledge to Paul because he decided to receive the gift of holy spirit so God could communicate to him directly.

Once again, this agrees with all other scripture on the subject.

Galatians 1:11,12
But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after(according to) man.

For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

All these verses agree with one another: God was the one who told these holy men of God what to speak and write. That is why the original bible was perfect because the bible is the only book in the world that has many writers, but only one author! That, in a nutshell, is how we got the word of God.

Hebrews 6:18
That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

Numbers 23:19
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

First off, I got the francis crick quote from the history channel show.

Secondly, all current, existing bibles do have some contradictions, but the original, God-breathed WORD had no errors in it. God is perfect, therefore his word is perfect, which means the individual words are perfect, the order of the words is perfect, the usage of the words is perfect, etc.

IF there are any APPARENT contradictions in current bibles, then the problem has to be either in translation or our understanding, or sometimes even both.

I highly recommend you take the foundational class on the way of abundance and power and see for yourself! http://www.theway.org/available.php?page=wayclass&lang=en

I dare you to believe God and quit letting satan blind your eyes!

II Corinthians 4:3-6
But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Psalms 12:6
The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

The number 7 in the bible is the number of spiritual perfection. God's word is perfectly pure. Man's word is not.

Genesis 1:1-2
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

In the original text, verse 2 read "and the earth BECAME without form and void"...

How do I know? The bible tells me so!

Isaiah 45:18
For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.

The words "in vain" in the phrase "he created it not in vain" are the hebrew words tohu va bohu, the exact same words in Genesis 1:2 without form and void!

Then if you read other parts of Isaiah and also Ezekiel, you will find that it was SATAN who made the earth to become without form and void, which is consistent with all other verses on him.

So you could have eons of time between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2. This is when the dinosaurs existed. There is much more information about this, but all of it is without any contradiction to science or the bible.

WHO in their right minds would knowingly buy a low-quality good (unless they were broke, but then Micro$oft has not quite been known as a discount reseller)? There is no reasonable way any company would be "incredibly successful" and gain "market dominance" with crappy products unless some other stronger force was over riding good common sense and competing by the rules.

This really smacks of corruption, plain and simple.
