Sorry, that was a really bad one. The thing that always worries about this whole data collection economy is that it runs on the *assumption that the government is rock solid, that there wouldn't be any regime change where the new regime would use all of this data to arrest people, or carry out state sponsored murder on them.
*likely they knew damn well that this was possible, but they just didn't care and this was compounded with "that possibility is so remote" thinking
