I am currently a service manager in a Ford Dealership I have worked in the automotive repair field for 20 some odd years (Ford, GM, Mazda, Volvo, Toyota, Mitz). I can tell you that in order to run an automotive repair shop these days you have to be a techie a wrench head and a business administrator normally all at the same time. While working on the Dealerships Pc systems I might be helping a tech to diag a Check engine light while waiting for a call from a fleet administrator down the road on how I might be able to help them reduce the cost of servicing their vehicles by offering a better deal.
I have seen quite a lot of negetive offering from indivduals on slashdot about dealerships and they way they perform their business....heres an offer to those with questions about how a dealership charges ect. Ask and I will respond with a strait answer. :)
