Comment Why so much animosity? (Score 1) 214

I have been wondering why is seem like so many
people that have been using Linux for a while
seem to have so much animosity for new Linux
users. It makes it difficult to learn if you
feel like you'll be flamed for asking what you
consider a perfecly valid question. I have been
using Linux for a little over a year now and I
still have questions that I feel like I would
be flamed for asking.

OT: Does anyone have any suggestions for good
sources for learning the APIs used with Linux?
The documentation with most of them don't cut
it for someone new to C/C++.
