Pro-Terrorism (Score 1)

DS9 was a fantastic series. As was Voyager. Both these series seemed to be about engaging with other species. Any show based around the ship the enterprise seemed to be about imposing Federation values on alien races. Very pretentious and stinking like American imperialism. The truly interesting thing about DS9 was that the last series (about 2 years prior to 9/11 I believ) featured the federation sponsoring "freedom fighter" cells amongst the Cardassians to rise up against the bug bad evil Dominion. The characters in these cells justified attacking civilian target and harming civilians in the name of the greater good. They could not make a series like that now whcih is shame because although I do not necessarily support such tactics, it would definitely build understanding about what motivates each side in the war on terror.
