I think most of the people who didn't like this move didn't get it. This movie is not about neo vs. the machines. The theme, and movement of the plot is more based around free will/determinism. Go read a philosophy book and then watch the scene with the oracle again. If you have no understanding of one of histories longest running debates, then sure this is just an action movie. Then again, if you've never stopped to wonder whether or not you have free will, you only deserve an action movie. Which is not to say there weren't any weak points. I didn't need the gratuitous explanation of causality. The orgy scene with neo and trinity was dumb as hell. A ducati would not be transported with gas in the tank. And the ending, where he gets superpowers in the real world, with the cliff hanger? WTF was that? I'm not sure about the end though... have to reserve judgment until I see the next one. They better have a damn good explanation for themselves.
