Each summer, my father, brother and I were stung by mosquitoes out in our garden. They probably came from our fish pond. Yet somehow they never troubled our mum! Any ideas why they could be?

You could read the article and find out. (or just the first sentence of the summary if you're pressed for time.)

If you have lots more time, try an experiment. Self identify as female and see if the research is wrong, and the mosquitoes are just being sexist.

You do realize Russia tried that already. And Europe has already countered it in Ukraine.

Germany hasn't been working on anti-tank gear to the degree necessary to defend NATO members.

Russia has already lost about 1000 tanks. Against NATO? NATO has aircraft, the next 1000 would far far quicker.

True. That works for all governments everywhere.

Did you mean to cover your slippery slope with so much oil?
Simple solution is again, don't do that.

If the government puts a cap on the subsidies to prevent bankrupting everyone then it will be impossible to drive out profitable energy with unprofitable energy.

So we reduced the pollution and didn't bankrupt everyone. Huzzah!

What happens if there's no profit in alternatives to fossil fuels?

There already is, so it's a bit silly of you to make such a claim... You must mean "not enough profit".
You literally want to destroy the world because we aren't making "enough profit" with the cleaner alternatives.

What happens if there is almost as much profit? And a tiny subsidy or helping hand to get started tips the balance?

And plenty of intended consequences.

Taxing coal to subsidize solar power could mean profitable coal being driven from the market

That's the point...

with the government propping up unprofitable solar power by subsidies.

Yes, also the point.

This again would lead to the government handing out money until there's no money left.

So don't do that then. Set an amount you're willing to set aside.

You just keep trying to change the topic. Why is that?

Litter mass loss was 40 % lower in the most contaminated sites relative to sites with a normal background radiation level for Ukraine.

Litter mass loss was slightly greater in the presence of large soil invertebrates than in their absence.

Such a reader... Your own study shows it was mostly radiation but only slightly related to large soil invertebrates (we can pretend insects if you like). Oops.
