I sure hope they force Apple to stop using Siri, becuase Siri is the worst part of iOS. iOS4, without a reliable network data connection. Me: Call Home iPhone: Calling Home iOS5, without a reliable network data connection. Me: Call Home Siri: I'm sorry there has been a problem, please try again. Me: Call Home Siri: I'm not able to do that right now, sorry. Obviously I realize this won't happen, and at worst Apple will just settle.

Well, considering that there are an estimate 2.2 billion internet users in the world and only 800 million facebook users, I would say there is arguably room for growth, but there are troubling signs as well. It turns out that a majority of users are still concerned about facebook use and privacy, and even more worrisome is that almost half of the users consider it a "fad." If you follow the Steve Jobs mantra, users don't know what they want or need until you show it to them, but I wonder if at some point facebook begins struggling to add enough users to offset the departing ones (or the harder to quantify, inactive users). However, going public now means that facebook, despite what Zuckerberg says, is legally obligated to make decisions that benefit the shareholders. Therefore, at some point they are going to have to either keep big money advertisers like GM interested in the site or come up with a unique way to monetize the site (fb offers?).

The iCloud is underwhelming for users like myself (and I would imagine everyone reading Slashdot). But I also think you're right, it isn't DropBox. It is really just a back end service for your iPhone's native photo, video, and document apps. It isn't so that you can share a document to be edited by a group, it is so that you can store a document and then edit it later on your Mac or iPad without e-mailing it or syncing. On the other hand, I sort of understand where this article is coming from. Apple separated iCloud as its own product. They didn't simply turn on "cloud saves," they set up a website for the services and have been playing up its features as a major selling point. DropBox and the like now need to convince users that they still have a spot on the iOS device and the iCloud isn't like their "cloud." And in truth, iCloud will push DropBox off of my iOS device, because iCloud is all I need and it is seemlessly integrated.
