LittleLebowskiUrbanA's Journal: Too pro-choice for the right, too pro-gun for the left?

Maybe I'm missing something but I'm beginning to suspect as I prepare to leave the Marine Corps that there aren't that many pro-gun, pro-military geeks out there.
    Add the fact that I'm pro-choice and it would seem like I have no home w/ either the right or the left wings.
    Anyone else in a simular situation?

    Perhaps my new NRA membership will clear things up...not

Most geeks I know have a knee jerk tendency to speak like/think they are liberals. (They think they like Micheal Moore and that sort of thing.) But if you talk calmly with them about things you can lead them to realize they are actually liberetarians or maybe even real conservatives! The split you reffer to is common among urban conservatives. The thing is to find out what your convictions are, not what someone else thinks they should be. Then comes the politics.
