Thanks so much to those of you that gave me such wonderful advice yesterday. The guy didn't even show up in court. It appears he knows its an open and shut case and he is just going to lay low and serve his time, probably in an attempt to shorten it. I am doing all right. This whole thing means that I won't ever have to see the guy, which is good news for me, because I never want to. My roommate is also happy because that meant that she didn't have to testify. Well, now that I spent so much of yesterday freaking, I need to get some work done...

I am doing okay, and I'm going to be all right, as is my roommate. I'm going to go talk to someone at church in the next day or two. Again, thank you dearly. Each and every one of you who replied were incredibly thoughtful and understanding.

  • Heh, it may sound funny, but I am relieved everyone else popped in. As I said in my comment, I am not a versed enough Christian to give you good scripture readings of comfort, but I'm really pleased backup arrived quickly and did just that (kudo's to gm, greg, techno, and anyone I'm forgetting).

    Anyway, I'm still here for a listening ear if you need it. Hope things pan out (I'm sure it won't happen right away, but I hope each day gets better than the previous).

  • Given that more than one AC has been a downright shit in my journal with regards to my wife, I was a bit concerned that something similar might happen in your journal. Knock on wood, but I'm glad it doesn't seem to have happened.

    • You know, I had some junk come through when I first started this thing, but it sort of has died down... to almost zero. I'm not sure why. I figured it might have been b/c there are some folks like you with low UID's on my fan list and jerks are afraid to be thus b/c you people have powers (as far as they know, at least, shits don't have good karma), but who really knows, if they're trolling your journal too.

    I'm always amazed at the strength of people in horrific situations...makes me wonder if I'd be the same.

    Sounds like you've got your head on straight -- just keep talking to people, and reclaim your house as yours (whatever it takes - just take it back)
