I just downloaded Opera 9 and tested it myself.
The smilie gets a blue nose when you move the mouse cursor over the line where the nose is located.
I assume it works as expected!
It isn't easy being the parent of a six-year-old. However, it's a pretty small price to pay for having somebody around the house who understands computers.
