If you're so keen on the Apple case, do yourself a favour: buy a nice new (super fast) G3 and just install one of the Linux's on it (LinuxPPC, Yellow Dog etc). Not only will you get the chance to marvel at some really sweet industrial design, not withstanding the mouse and keyboard, but you'll also get the chance to appreciate an amazingly upgradable (look out for G4 ZIF slot upgrades later this year) and reliable computer. Apple has a rep for building computers that last. Plus you get Firewire while you're at it!
