The main reason nobody uses floppies anymore is that the media would corrupt after 2 years... that said, I've never seen a floppy hosting important data since 2002. +

Most people look at the router ports as some kind of electric outlet; trying to explain them about hackers remotely exploiting access into it is like if you told them that there are ghosts that could come out of the electric outlet and posses your refrigerator.
