Interesting, I just had mine replaced 2 days ago for this exact same issue. From what Iâ(TM)ve read, the noise canceling on the early models was too aggressive and could cause them to self destruct.

This is actually amazing, California SMOG laws were written by a complete idiot. Theyâ(TM)re so strict that they literally prevent you from modifying your car in a way that produces less pollution. I had a project a while back to increase the gas mileage of my car and reduce the emissions but had to shelve it ironically because CARB doesnâ(TM)t care how much emissions your car actually produces, only that it is âoestock,â or you pay them a lot of money (tens of thousands of dollars).
