A society that rewards invention but limits the bad things that have cropped up with the patent system, a society where we don't have totalitarian control but freedom of speech.

But since you think the various Pirate Parties is only about "downloading stuff for free" I can understand you point of view, however it's not particularly "mature" or informed about the reality. All our progress so far has been dependant on refining things already done, and when the patent system stops this rather than helping it might mean that in the future we will get less innovation -> human will devolvle and die.
