He's a 60+ y.o. guy who works out at the field station and has been working there forever helping students build experiments and needs to insert @$^&*$#^@# in most of his sentences. He is, in short, very cool, and apparently has a respectable vocabulary. I gave him a what-the-heck-are-you-talking-about look and he told me to look it up.
