old adage. Never assume malice when ignorance is just as likely a cause. Sounds like this was just another case of out of touch leaders not thinking the wording through properly.
They are amending it to make it "Crystal Clear" (their words) that this only targets "professional posts" (i.e. Politicians, Corporations, any one doing it for money) and not individuals posting their opinions

He brings one thing (almost*) no one else does. Funding. Everyone else working to make the world a better place can't get funding. Government's won't give them funding because they will lose their voter base, and other corporations are only interested in making more money.
Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Warren Buffet, Larry Page... all of them make just as much as Elon (relatively, I mean, compared to us they sure as heck do) and and none of them interested in making things better. (other than the size of their wallets)

- I'm not an Elon fanboy, I fully accept he is an asshole, and as SOON as someone else comes along willing to put their money into making the world a better place to the level Elon is I will support them instead.

* - Bill Gates being the notable outlier, and I should note that I fully support him as well, (or at least his foundation)

** I cannot speak to the safety rating and too find the 10x number suspect.

Darn, Here I was hoping for it to actually contain a bunch of unfinished vfx, and half the film to be "Footage to be Shot" plates..

While the violence in Watchmen probably exceeds the brutality of that seen is Sin City, the difference is that is has a "message". Its a comment about our protagonist, about them being human, and nothing more that costumed vidulaties, many with severe physiological issues. Far from the costumed "Heroes" they originally strived to be.

The Major difference: the Violence in Sin City was designed to be "enjoyed", while the violence in Watchmen is intended to disturb.
