. . . if you aren't the customer, you're the product.

Or with AI I guess your data is the product, and anything you might incidentally accomplish (learning, working, playing, earning, etc.) is a waste product, to be minimized accordingly.

There's probably car analogy that could express it better.

Do you think you were a victim of fraud? Or did you understand what was going on?

Half the time when you come across a picture of a room with digital furniture, the very next one is the unaltered, empty-room picture. So if this tech is intended to deceive, most realtors haven't gotten the memo.

Far worse are the fake external shots where the house is surrounded by an acre of grass or woods, when in reality it's packed like sardines with the other houses.

Vietnam's government said this week that 60 countries were registered for the official signing, without disclosing which ones. But the list will probably not be limited to Russia, China, and their allies.

72 states signed the UN Convention against Cybercrime, which still must be ratified by each State according to its own procedures.

You don't give a damn about "UX" to the extent it means user experience. You should be asking extension writers what they need from you to improve their work and truly improve Firefox users' experiences. That goes 10x for ad-block writers.

But it's easier to get TIME to jerk you off and Google to dump money on you with forgettable chintz like this.

I remember the article where I first noticed the chart:

Scores have been falling for six consecutive years, but the trend accelerated during the COVID-19 pandemic.

That pegs the beginning of the decline to 2017 (probably in the spring), before most of his first four years.

This whole vid is well worth your time (seriously, make a note to watch the whole thing today if you haven't), but the last section (starting at 14:20) is particularly striking in how few war deaths have occured since the invention (and rapid development/manufacture) of nuclear weapons.

It's a decade old and could use an update, but I was surprised to recently read that it mostly holds up even with the Ukraine/Russia War.
