Nice job, Microsoft. Way to ignore the growing trends in favor of your own way. After all, you certainly know better than those lousy consumers.

In all fairness, though, they'll probably sell like hotcakes in the niche market they're designed for. I just don't see it as a very big market.

Independence Day II: The Endor Holocaust.

The article says,

"If true, this is bad news for the already delayed Asimov Foundation trilogy: it’s likely Roland Emmerich will direct the Independance Day film after his latest film Anonymous about the life of William Shakespeare, delaying the Foundation start date even further."

Bad news? No. They seem to be under the impression that we want him to direct the Foundation Trilogy. Anything bringing the possibility of him not doing it is good news indeed.

Even with this, there's still too much of a stigma associated with Microsoft and Bing for many internet users to take them seriously. Leave Bing to the uncaring and the uninformed.

Anybody else notice that there are still copies of the book up on the scribd website?

They go to all this effort to put massive, brilliant pictures online, but they forget to put it on a server remotely capable of handling it? Way to go.

An actual use for Arisoft guns.

On one side, they've managed to pick the single most capable internet community when it comes to getting their way against all odds. And if by some miracle the site should remain blocked, it sets a terrible precedent for internet censorship.

I'm never going to click on ads whether or not I can see them. There's no reason to have them sitting around annoying me.

I'll be sure to buy my faster than light ship, once the nice man from Nigeria finishes transferring me the money he promised!
