8k does not automatically equal high wattage output.

The physical size of the display does. Now, you would be correct to point out that there is no point to having a small 8k monitor and there is a limit to pixel size which results in a minimum physical size. However, the minimum size for an 8k resolution display is a *lot* small than you think it is.

The principle is already established.

recommended videos are simply advertisements, and any platform is responsible for the advertisements it displays. the fact that the ads are for your own content is irrelevant.

A recommended link is just like a TV station saying "stay tuned after the news for Jeopardy!".

Platforms are already liable for the content of the advertisements they show. A non-active search related recommended link is simply an advertisement.

But my algorithm is the same thing! there is no difference between being a search engine and displaying addition links beside the content you're watching !

Yes there is. One is a list of algorithmic derived items created from an active request from the user. The other is a collection of algorithmic derived items created by the platform to advertise additional products available on the platform.

I use a wide format inkjet for home use. I can do everything from envelopes through letter, legal, and tabloid, up to 36" wide rolls up to 21 feet long. Sadly, its an HP, but old enough that 3rd party cartridges work fine (you mileage may vary depending on colour quality, though).

And yes, some of my project for me and my wife's projects do involve wide format printing.

We also have a home laser printer, but its letter/legal only.

I'd love a full colour wide format laser, but the costs are simply astronomical.

up here, in order to be able to put power onto the grid, you need to bid the cost of your power. We have a 25 year old natural gas, cogeneration plant that hasn't operated full time in 10 years, as they are unable to compete with the lower price bid by nuclear, wind, and solar plants. It only get to operate as a backup when there is massive demand and the core players are out of service.

The plant was constructed at a time when there was political pressure to push coal off the grid, so gas was set in a 15 year contract that was very cheap. The plant ran for about 5 years, as it was able to compete. Then, when the price of gas skyrocketed, they didn't generate power, because they made far more money selling their gas allotment instead of burning it to make power. Then when gas prices fell and renewable started coming on line, they were simply too expensive for main line production. Then their cheap gas contract ended, and they are now even farther from being competitive.

I.F. is hard to do well. It may look easy, and conceptually it is, but putting a story together that still works regardless of the decisions of the player is very hard. Players will do things out of the sequence that YOU want. Players hate being railroaded, and the best IF works are those that have anticipated the major story decision points and write the story to take all of that into account. The Players are still forced to stay within the overall narrative, but it does not feel like being railroaded.

Make the effort and try modern I.F. you will be entertained.

I am a P. Eng.

You get your engineering degree from an accredited engineering school. That does not 'certify' you. In order to get your license to practice as an engineer, you first need to write exam(s) depending on your jurisdiction(s) of practice, as well as meet minimum work experience under a P. Eng. the number of years experience varies by jurisdiction. Additionally, you must provide references to other P. Eng's who have supervised your work - and they will be contacted. Education is just the first step.
